Goodbye 950........ and take care of your new owners. You are a great bike - we covered a lot of ground together from the desert's dry dirt to pockmarketed roads in Mexico in the remains of a hurricane to the bottom of the Copper Canyons, you carried me without a single hiccup.
Some of my favorite pictures: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Breaking newsWe interrupt our current posting schedule to bring you this flash announcement.
The plan was simple, as in K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid) Find a new bike located somewhere far, far away. Fly, buy, and ride through some great country. Point A to B via the scenic route. Cliff notes: • Plan complicated by Sas wanting to ride • Plan complicated by Gold Wing delivery • Plan complicated by Gold Wing delivery failure • Plan complicated by R1100R brake failure • Plan complicated by seeing every National Park along the way. But finally we are here in Phoenix. The real purpose of the trip. Standing before me is the 950. She's a great looking bike. She is everything that K7 said she was and more. He is going over the ins and outs of the bike. He knows her well. ![]() And over the course of the month and a half that the she has been sitting in his garage; he has wired up the GPS, mounted the plate and shod her with a new tire. He's made sure she is ready to go the distance. But he went beyond that, he ordered up a new windshield and a dash housing. The old ones were a little worn, he explained. In a world where you have to rely on a person's word, K7 is on top of the list. He's the guy you want watching your back because you know he will be there. Thanks again for all. And good luck on your new kayaking adventures. We're off. ![]() She's mine now better feed her. ![]() PS: Sas apologizes for the poor quality of photos. Seems like someone forgot to bring the camera. |
